Zoning for Housing and Housing for All
The City of Alexandria is bundling efforts to address our housing crisis by combining two initiatives: Zoning for Housing, and Housing for All.
The Zoning for Housing program aims to expand housing production and affordability through reforming City regulations, while the Housing for All program will help Alexandrians learn the history of past discriminatory housing policies and how these can be countered today.
Attend the Kickoff Event
March 20, 5-9pm and March 21, 8am-5:15pm
The 1.5-day kickoff event will include key stakeholders and industry experts discussion the state of housing in Alexandria. Speakers include Michelle Krocker (Housing Forward VA), Richard Rothstein (Color of Law), Leah Rothstein (Co-author to Color of Law's sequel, Just Action), and more!

Regional Fair Housing Plan
MWCOG released the draft of a Fair Housing Plan for the DC region, including a section specific to Alexandria.

Alexandria West Planning
The City is engaging in an 18-month planning process to create a shared vision for the future of Alexandria West. Join YIMBYs of NoVA to advocate for a plan that prioritizes housing affordability and accessible transportation. More information here.

Landmark Redevelopment
