Happening Now

Zoning for Housing and Housing for All

The City of Alexandria is bundling efforts to address our housing crisis by combining two initiatives: Zoning for Housing, and Housing for All.

The Zoning for Housing program aims to expand housing production and affordability through reforming City regulations, while the Housing for All program will help Alexandrians learn the history of past discriminatory housing policies and how these can be countered today.

Duke Street in Motion

As Alexandria's primary east-west corridor, Duke Street is essential to enabling people to move throughout our community. Project info here. The Advisory Group is now working from two pairs of corridor concepts.

YIMBYs of NoVA supports Concept A and Concept Y, which maximize benefits to all corridor users including faster and more reliable transit, safer travel for pedestrians, bikes, and drivers, and less impact on property owners.
